History of the Pokemon World: Prehistoric Age

Contains spoilers for those who haven't played Pokemon X/Y and AlphaSaphire/OmegaRuby.

Many Years have passed and the Mew population has decreased giving way to many new Pokemon. During this time Genesect was born.
The fossil Pokemon also roamed the earth:
Relicanth, Kabuto, Kabutop, Omanyte, and Omastar filled the oceans.

Lileep, Cradily, Anorith, Armaldo, Shieldon, Bastiodon, Cranidos, Rampardos, Tirtouga, and Carracosta filled the land.

While Areodactyl, Archen, and Archeops filled the sky.
Side note: Archeops is considered the father of bird Pokemon and Carracosta is considered the father of Turtle Pokemon.

Soon a meteor strikes the earth killing off most of these Pokemon and plunges the world into an Ice Age. During this time Swinub, Piloswine, Mamoswine, Amaura, Aurorus, Tyrunt, and Tyrantrum flourished.

After years of human worship, Regigigas and the Regi Titans (Regice, Regirock, Registeel) are sealed away during the Iron Age due to fear of their power. Meanwhile, in the Kalos region war rages causing the creation and use of the ultimate weapon destroying a huge amount of both human and Pokemon populations.

As a result of this the King of  (AZ in X/Y) and his Flabebe are given eternal life and the transformation of stones into mega stones unfolded in the Pokemon world. It is also suggested that the ultimate weapon created two parallel worlds: one where mega stones were created and one with no mega stones.

Hoenn is plagued by meteor showers turning the home place of the Draconid People into Meteor Falls. Because of these meteor showers, the world is overflowed with natural energy, which awakens Groudon and Kyogre in their Primal Forms. The two burst into battle over the energy.

Primal Groudon and Kyogre ravage the earth until the Draconid People summon Rayquaza by wishing on a meteor at Meteor Falls. Rayquaza once again stops the two pushing them into a deep sleep in their Primal forms. This causes Rayquaza to be revere as a savior by the people of the Hoenn region.

The earliest know system of writing is developed and used in the Ruins of Alph, Turoby Ruins, & Solaceon Ruins. Its unknown if the identical Pokemon, Unown, preceded or succeeded this writing system.

A thousand years after the awaking of Primal Gourdon and Kyogre, a meteor struck Hoenn during a meteor shower, creating Sootopolis City. This woke up Primal Gourdon and Kyogre once again, and like before the two began to battle for the world again.

Rayquaza was summoned once more to stop the two Primal Pokemon. Only this time, Rayquaza evolved into Mega Rayquaza, becoming the first recorded Mega evolution and Pokemon.

After Rayquaza returned to the sky, the Draconid People promised to pass down the prophecy of the meteor's return in a thousand years. (AS/OR delta episode)

In Unova, two brothers along with the first Dragon Pokemon are forming the region. The brothers soon begin to fight over differences causing the dragon Pokemon to split into two dragons: Zekrom and Reshiram forming Kyurem out of what was left of the original dragon Pokemon.

Zekrom and Reshiram fight along side the brothers. Soon the brothers stop fighting seeing the destruction of their region caused by Zekrom and Reshiram. The Unova region is left to lay desolated for years.

Meanwhile, in the Kalos region, Xerneas roams releasing life energy throughout the region, and flees to a forest where it sleeps in the form of a tree. Likewise, Yveltel roams the region absorbing the life energy throughout the region before fleeing to the mountains falling asleep in a cocoon.

This leads us into the Modern history. See you next time.

History of the Pokemon World: The Beginning (Creation)

In Pokemon Pearl/Diamond/Platinum and Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/AlphaSapphire/OmegaRuby we got a glimpse of the creation of the Pokemon universe. So I've always wanted to put together a "history" of the Pokemon world. So here we go:
-Disclaimer: some of these may not be factual via the games or confirmed facts. This is purely what I was able to gather up via playing the games or around the internet. Please be nice in commenting.

In the vortex of complete chaos and nothingness a single egg came into being. This egg hatched giving birth to the very first Pokemon, Arceus, who is known as the Pokemon god.

Arceus creates Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina giving them the power over Time, Space, and Antimatter respectively. Leaving them to create the universe and the world.

However due to its destructive nature, Giratina destroyed all of what Dialga and Palkia created. As punishment for this, Arceus sent Giratina into the Distortion World allowing Dialga and Palkia to finish the creation of the universe and world. After this the two retreated into their own dimensions, that have an access point at the Spear Pillar.

Now Arceus creates Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf to give Knowledge, Emotion, and Willpower to all living things that come into existence.

After spreading these three things around the universe, the trio dive into caves at the bottom of three lakes that would become known as Lake Verity, Lake Valor, and Lake Acuity in the Sinnoh region.

Soon the world gives way creating three new Pokemon. In the pressure of the deep sea trenches, Kyogre is formed. Likewise, deep inside the earth harden by magma, Groudon is formed. And minerals joined together in the ozone layer forming Rayquaza. Kyogre and Groudon proceed to fill the sea and create land masses. These two turn into rivals conflicting for dominance over the Pokemon world. As the battle between sea and land continues, Rayquaza descends down from the sky to quell it causing Kyogre and Groudon to retreat to special caverns within what would later be known as the Hoenn region. And Rayquaza retreats back into the sky.

Now the Pokemon living in the world can live in peace. However there are not that many types of Pokemon yet. In plentiful numbers, Mew inhabits the world.

With the creation of land and water, Arceus returns to create Regigigas to maintain order in the world. Regigigas roams across the Pokemon world forming the continents, or regions. As Regigigas is forming the continents, it is filled with loneliness. So Regigigas creates three companions out of materials it finds around the world: clay, ice, and magma.

These three new Pokemon are Regirock, Regice, and Registeel.

Soon Heatran is formed in a pool of lava during the forming of Stark Mountain in the Sinnoh region.

Arceus returns once more before falling into a deep slumber in order to create the Adamant, Lustrous, and Griseous Orbs. And lastly, with the formation of the Pokemon Regions we now have different climates and land types, which gives the Mews a chance to evolve, or change, into the various ancient Pokemon

This leads us to the ancient history of the Pokemon world. well that's all for now.

Things That Don't Make Sense in Pokemon

Hey I felt like putting a list together of the various things that don't make any sense in the Pokemon Games, sorry no anime nonsense here in this blog. So Let's get started:

The Pokemon and Moves:

First off there the everlasting question of what Pokemon is the strongest right??? Naturally you would think that it's a legendary Pokemon, but you'd be wrong this guy is:

Yup that's right Shuckle is the only Pokemon that can do a total of 481,266,036 points of damage!!!!

Pokemon can actually die! This one puzzled me for years too. Do Pokemon actually age? Can one die of old age? Would it be like pushing a level 100 Pokemon to level up further? Or is it the idea of the Nuzzlock challenges where you release fainted Pokemon? So basically you left it there fainted with no way of revival. This still doesn't make sense to me.....

You can capture the Pokemon god! Yup you can actually catch Arceus the god of all Pokemon.

Genderless Legendary Pokemon are up next. These Legendaries that are depicted (Meloetta, Diancie, Creselia, Darkrai, & Manaphy) have no gender despite their looks or titles. Darkrai and Creselia are the "dream" Legendaries from Diamond/Pearl/Platinum (D/P/P), these two look like they should be the polar opposite of each other since Darkrai feeds off of nightmares and Creselia wakes you up from those nightmares. Also the anime movie with these two gave them the sense of gender we were looking for. Manaphy is also from D/P/P and is known as the Prince of the Sea, however "he" is genderless.... Diancie and Meloetta are very feminine in their appearance despite being genderless.

Both Lugia and Palkia have types that don't make any sense. Palkia is suppose to be the Pokemon god of space however it's typing is Water/Dragon, hm that doesn't seem right. And Lugia is the guardian of the sea, yet its typing is Psychic/Flying. Also Palkia can't learn the TM fly....

Magcargo's pokedex entries state that its body is hotter than the surface of the sun, so why doesn't burn everything in sight when its outside of it's pokeball?

Gallade and Gardevoir don't make much sense either. You can get male Gardevoirs in the game however its impossible to get a female Gallade. At the point that they came out with Gallade, you should have done away with the male Gardevoirs or made it where you could be female Gallade by the same evolution steps with a female Kirla.

Females of this evolution line do not compute. They have no differences from the male line, and clearly the Machop line was designed to be male. Why didn't they go with just males on this line like they did with the Hitmons (Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Himontop, Tyrogue) ?

Here's another set of Pokemon where the gender makes no sense. Female Mr. Mimes, Slowbros, Slowkings, and Geodudes make no sense due to they're English names. And Lopunny looks feminine, so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to give it no differences from male and female.

This group of pokemon can learn moves that don't have a drop of sense. Wooper and Shroomish can learn punching moves, but don't have any hands. Diglett can learn scratch and slash, but doesn't seem to have any claws. Primape can learn Iron Tail though it lost its tail in evolution. Doduo and Dodrio can both learn the TM fly despite having no wings. Another example of this would be Tryanitar, which is a Rock/Dark type, can learn the TM Surf.

The next group of Pokemon can't learn certain moves. most of the winged bug type Pokemon cannot learn the TM fly. Gyarados can't learn any flying type moves despite its second type being flying. Growlithe doesn't learn the move growl even though it's in its name. Lickitung couldn't learn lick in the generation I games (Red/Blue/Green/Yellow). Emboar's pokedex entry states that it uses the fire on its chin to set its fist on fire for attack however it wasn't until the next generation (5 vs 6) was it able to learn fire punch. Likewise Kecleon couldn't learn the move Camouflage until Gen VI.

All these Pokemon are smaller than you, but can carry you around via the TM's surf and fly. Also on a side note, in the Anime Ash must be a body builder to lift several Pokemon that weigh a lot more than 5 pounds!

Despite having not just two, but three cannons Mega Blastoise attacks with its mouth not its cannons.

Where exactly do the stars for the move swift come from and where to the Pokemon store them when not using the move?

Haze is an Ice type move, however not a single Ice type Pokemon can learn it. Mostly Poison types learn it making more sense that Haze should be poison type move not an ice type move.

In HeartGold/SoulSilver your Pokemon could walk along side you. So it never made sense how large Pokemon could fit into buildings outside of Gyms and Pokemon Centers.

Bulbasaur is not the very first Pokemon. Yeah I know what you're thinking "Bulbasaur is the first in all Pokedexes!" And while that's true, Bulbasaur was not the first Pokemon created, Rhydon is which is why there's statues of this Pokemon everywhere in the Kanto games (Gen I).

People and Other Things:
It's weird that you can fight Trainers younger than you within the game however you can't start on a Pokemon adventure till the age of 10 or older. So having Youngsters/Lasses and Preschoolers class trainers shouldn't be possible.

Have you ever wondered where exactly your "mother" sleeps in the games? Think about it most of the earlier generations' main trainer houses only had two rooms: yours and the kitchen/dinning room. Maybe your mother sleeps on your bed while your gone....

Isn't sad that Professor Oak can't remember the name of his own grandson, but he knows when you are trying to ride your bike in a "no" zone.

And speaking of that bicycle, as a Pokemon trainer you have one magical bag to fit all of what it does including the bike! Or in the case of Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire two bicycles!

And another note on the bike is this guy, who tries to sell you one for a million pokedollars! you litterally cannot get that much in the game! You max out, as shown in the picture, at 999,999 pokedollars.

This is a Pokemon Egg almost all Pokemon can produce this egg when a couple of them are left at the day care. So why is the Day Care Man always surprise to find one when you leave your Pokemon with him and his wife so they can breed in order to make an egg!

This is Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket and the final Gym Leader from the Generation I games (G/R/G/Y/FR/LG).  Giovanni is technically a good guy since he's trying to steal the silph scope and master ball in order to capure Mewtwo.

Cyrus, the leader of Team Galactic from Pokemon Black/White, says he doesn't make friends with his Pokemon. But then how does he have a Crobat, which needs high friendship in order to get?

Lastly why does your Rival from Generation II (Gold/Silver/Crystal/HeartGold/SoulSilver) hate Team Rocket so much? Well, you don't find out that information unless you read the Manga, Pokemon Adventures, or activate the Celebi event in HG/SS you get the cut scene that explains it. His father is Giovanni from Generation I, so he's got a lot of daddy issues.

I know there's a lot more things that don't make sense within the games and the anime of Pokemon, but these might be some of my top picks.
